DYED CLOTHING

Dyed clothing must be washed in cold water, preferably by hand or in a gentle/hand-wash cycle. Do not use bleach or non-chlorine brighteners and color-safe whiteners. We recommend using Woolite or Soak products, or other biodegradable mild detergents.   

HAND WASHING METHOD

The easiest and most efficient method is to wash by hand. This saves time, energy and carbon. In a shallow sink fill with just enough cold water to cover the garment and allow it to move a bit.  Add a few drops of Woolite or other detergent and stir the garment for a few minutes. Drain and rinse with cold running water, gently squeezing out any excess water --be sure not to twist or wring the fabric. Hang to drip dry, and be sure to place a old towel under the garment for the first few washings.
